It is with great pleasure that we can announce our Instrumental Music Tutors, Mr Jason Slack (guitar) and Mrs Andrea Cox (flute), are being presented with an AHOMINGS Award for Recognition of Long Service for Music Tutors. PerformancesWe are looking forward to a number of significant performances coming up over the next few months. Please see below for details of these performances: Term 3 Festival of Arts Futures Church, Paradise Thursday Week 7 All Co-curricular Music ensembles Co-curricular Presentation Evening Adelaide Town Hall Wednesday Week 9 Faber String Quintet, Faber Big Band Catholic Schools Music Festival Adelaide Festival Theatre Week 10 Boys Vocal Ensemble (select students), Festival Strings (select students) Term 4 A Night at the Theatre Flynn Theatre Wednesday Week 2 Faber Vocal Ensemble, Bellarmine Vocal Ensemble, Faber String Quintet, Faber String Orchestra, Bellarmine Big Band, Faber Big Band, Faber Concert Band Valete Mass Saint Ignatius' Church, Norwood Friday Week 2 Liturgical Choir and select singers Speech Day Futures Church, Paradise Friday Week 3 Faber String Quintet, Faber/Bellarmine Vocal Ensemble Rehearsal expectations All Senior School Co-curricular Music ensembles will continue rehearsing throughout the remainder of Terms 3 and 4. We have several upcoming performances, and regular rehearsals are crucial to our preparation. With Winter Sport concluding, we expect all students involved in co-curricular music to attend rehearsals consistently. It is important to honour your commitment to your ensemble. Any absences must be communicated by a parent to Mrs Allen via email, either prior to the rehearsal or on the day.
