Introducing the Magis Centre

State-of-the-Art Sports and Multi-Purpose Education Centre

MAGIS - “the more.”

A phrase that captures the spirit of St Ignatius Loyola and our College. We strive to do the more, the better, the greater - not only for ourselves, but for God and others.

Magis - it’s a guiding principle that defines our mission at Saint Ignatius’ College, urging us to constantly strive for greater excellence, to do more for others, and to exceed expectations in all our endeavors. Today, we share an ambitious plan that embodies this ideal: the creation of a state-of-the-art sports and multi-purpose education centre at the Senior School.

In the spirit of magis, we teach our students to seek the greater good and to pursue their dreams with passion and dedication. Our students exemplify this ethos every day, pushing themselves to their limits, striving for excellence both on the field and in their studies. They inspire us with their unwavering commitment to achieving their highest potential.

For years, our community has envisioned a sports centre that reflects the aspirations of our students—a facility where they can train diligently, compete courageously, and excel in their athletic pursuits. A place where the spirit of magis is palpable in every practice, every game, every defeat, and every victory.

Today, we stand on the threshold of realising this vision, with a project that will redefine our commitment to excellence - the Magis Centre.

Community Building

Beyond being a centre for sporting excellence, the Magis Centre will be a central place that unites us as a community. For the first time we will have a venue with capacity to fit our entire staff and student body from all three campuses – a special place for us to come together as one.
