Homepage Learning & Teaching Junior School Co-Curricular Co-curricular Jesuit Education is concerned with the development of the whole person. Therefore, a genuine participation in the co-curricular program at Saint Ignatius’ College is a central element of our educational process. Co-curricular exists to support and further the culture of belonging, growth, engagement and companionship for students and the College community. As such, involvement in Co-curricular is compulsory for all students in Years 5 to 12. Students in younger year levels are encouraged to participate when the opportunity arises.The principles that underpin Co-curricular at Saint Ignatius’ College include: • Co-curricular enhances the holistic formation of students• Co-curricular provides an avenue for students to develop and demonstrate Ignatian values• Students are afforded opportunities to grow in their skills and abilities (physical, cognitive and human) and achieve to their potential within the Co-curricular activities• College community is built through the contributions of students, families and staff to co-curricular• Co-curricular encourages involvement in physical activity to support students in meeting the Australian Physical Activity Guidelines An extensive co-curricular program is offered to students and is a vital part of College life.
