Students prepare for national finals

Oct 11, 2018

Silas Hansch-Maher (Year 10) and Evelyn Vincin Walker (Year 9) are set to compete in the national finals of two very significant competitions.

In December Silas will head to Brisbane to compete in the Australian Brain Bee Challenge, a competition for Year 10 students to learn about the brain and its functions, discover the latest in neuroscience research and dispel misconceptions about neurological and mental illnesses.

Meanwhile Evelyn is getting ready to compete in the national final of the Legacy Junior Public Speaking Award, a competition aimed at enhancing the communication and public speaking skills of students aged between 12 and 14 years.

We congratulate Silas and Evelyn for making it to the national finals and wish them both well for the final stages of their competitions.
