Catholic Co-Ed Swimming Carnival
Adelaide Aquatic Centre, Tuesday 25 February 2020

The students always look forward to the annual Catholic Co-Ed Swimming Carnival and this year was no exception! The competition was tough; St Michael’s have a strong squad with many club swimmers and surf lifesavers, however, we were able to prevail winning a total of four shields. We were able to secure 1st place in U13 Girls, U16 Boys and Girls and Open Boys. Under 13 boys brought home 2nd place as did U14 boys and Open Girls 3rd place.

Our combined score was 1396 with St Michaels a close second on 1307. Again, our ability to field a full team in almost every event managed to ensure our victory. For this the College is very grateful to some of our non-swimming team athletes who generously gave up a whole night to ensure we could field a full complement of athletes. Our best performers on the night were Juliet Mazur, Ethan Leung, Alex Dry, Sophie Healy and Lucas Bradley. We now set our sights on the remainder of the Wednesday Mini Meets and next week’s SASSA at the South Australian Aquatic and Leisure Centre at Marion.
