Secretary/Parish Pastoral Worker

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position
of Secretary/Parish Pastoral Worker.
The successful applicant will be responsible to the Parish Priest and will work with him, the Parish Secretary, and the Parish Pastoral Council and Finance and Building Committee.
The successful applicant will have a strong personal faith life, expressed through commitment to the Eucharist and a commitment to living a Christian life according to the precepts, teachings and practices of the Catholic Church.
The position is offered on a part-time basis and will involve some evening work.
The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, along with an ability to adapt to the demands of this busy parish.
An ability to liaise with the RCIA Co-ordinator and the Family Faith Co-ordinator is expected.
Secretarial skills and experience are essential and book-keeping experience would be an advantage.
A knowledge and understanding of the Church’s procedures with regard to sacraments is essential.
