Out of School Hours Care
This week the children in OSHC have been busy writing thank you letters and making floral gifts for the health care workers in our community. The enthusiasm shown by the children during this experience was lovely to see and it prompted thinking and conversations about the importance of many different workers, who have helped us over the last few months during Covid-19. Bec and I will deliver these tokens of appreciation to their intended recipients and hopefully brighten their day! This is a direct link into Quality Area six from the National Quality Standard which refers to community engagement.

A Pupil Free Day is scheduled for Friday 19 June and OSHC will offer care from 7.30am–6.00pm on this day. An incursion has been booked which will involve SciWorld providing a Fire and Ice Show followed by hands on activities. The usual OSHC craft, cooking and outdoor activities will also occur.
You must book in by filling out the consent form and returning it to an OSHC educator by Friday 5 June. Any bookings made after this date may not be possible and will incur a late booking fee of $20.00**
A reminder to please contact the service on 8130 7113 as soon as possible, if your child is booked in on the pupil free day but cannot attend on the day.
Bec has been busy working on the July vacation care program and we hope to have this out by Week 6. It is still difficult to plan ahead at this time but if we need to make last minute changes, as we did in April, we will all need to be flexible. Payments and forms must accompany July vacation care bookings and fees are non-refundable.
