Junior School News
This week I experienced an unusual but happy consequence of our time during home schooling that I couldn’t help but share.
The Year 6s have been doing a unit called Ephemeral art. This is art that is temporary. It’s a little bit like 'now you see it, now you don’t'. In most cases this type of art is outdoors and relates to its surroundings.
Examples of ephemeral art materials are:
- and sand.
Andy Goldsworthy is a British artist who is famous for this type of art.

Last week I had a parent, Karen Murphy, see her son’s online lesson and sent me photographs of her project inspired by her organics bin. These two projects then involved gathering resources from Stirling, and the surrounding streets of St Peters. Karen said “My cape was a race with nature as they wilted and dried quicker than my stitching!”

Love seeing us all enjoying the lockdown with creativity!
