Cabaret
“Come Fly With Me” was held last Friday night at the John Di Fede Reception Centre. The venue looked wonderful with its travel decorations and world balloons. Thank you to the Senior School Music Captain and Head Flight Attendant, Miss Grace Sexton and Vice Captains and Flight Attendants, Miss Trishna Menon and Miss Suzie Shimamoto for all their work leading up to the event in addition to their studies; to Captain, Dr Chris Sexton for piloting the aircraft on the night; to Head of Co-curricular Music, Mr Aaron Dohse, Co-curricular Co-ordinator, Mr Stephen Millar, Mr Peter Zubreckyj, Ms Tara Davey, Mr Ian Chirnside and Mrs Sharon Allen who spent hours preparing for the event and for navigating through the air to reach our final destination; the College Leadership team and management, the Parents and Friends of Music who help organise set up and clean up and to all the families who have donated prizes to the raffle and money tree, and to the Senior School Library and iTalk Travel for the books and brochures. We were also very fortunate to have on board Mr Darren Sheldon and Mr Joshua Sheldon from Flight Experience Adelaide for the Boeing 737-800 Simulator and incredible door prizes. The simulator was enjoyed by many despite the frequent crashes!!! The music, food and atmosphere was of the highest quality and I urge all of you who could not attend to experience the extraordinary talent of our young musicians next year.
