2020 Term 3 Week 2
From the Rector
This week, we celebrated the feast of Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, and the saint after whom our College is named. Ignatius was born in the beautiful but rugged Basque country of Northern Spain. He was the youngest of 11 children and his mother died soon after his birth. His father died when he was an adolescent. Trained in the ways of military and courtly life, Ignatius started as a... read more

This Friday we celebrate the Feast Day of St Ignatius of Loyola, the patron saint of our school. There is much we can learn from Ignatius’ life, conversion, and faith journey, but for me the greatest lesson I have learnt from Ignatius is how to have a closer and deeper relationship with God. But what we found out is that each one of us is:  A brain . . .  And an athlete .... read more
From the Head of Junior School
This week concluded with a joyous celebration of our Patronal Feast Day. Although we might not have been able to celebrate Mass as one whole community at St Ignatius Parish with all of our community from IEY to Year 12, we were able mark this joyous occasion with split liturgies for our youngest from IEY to Year 3 and Years 4 to 6 in the Norwood Parish Church. The children of all year levels enjoy the... read more
