2020 Term 2 Week 3

2020 Term 2 Week 3
From the Principal
In the hustle and bustle of a return to face-to-face classes at school and, more recently, the excitement generated in anticipation of the reintroduction of co-curricular activities, it is possible that another significant development at the College might have been lost. I refer to the new garments that have been added to our formal winter uniform for female students, which will be available through... read more

This week, and in coming weeks, the SA Government and SA Health are modifying restrictions, and we need to be vigilant to their guidelines and directives. Bishop O’Kelly has announced some UPDATES for Church gatherings in South Australia. Churches may re-open for private prayer, with numbers restricted to 10 people. They are not open for masses except for funerals, weddings, and baptisms.... read more
Ignatian Ethos
It is now the second week of having students back in the classrooms and it is wonderful! While walking around the school in the few weeks without students it felt cold, empty and a bit sad. Our classrooms, corridors and ovals were definitely not built to be empty. In turn this has led me to reflect on the importance of relationships. They really are at the core of all that occurs throughout society,... read more

Our Years 7 and 9 students were to participate in the NAPLAN tests alongside more than a million others. This had to be cancelled, as with so many events arising from the challenges of COVID-19. We did, however, have our planned Senior School Assembly, albeit pre-recorded and streamed to the students in their home rooms. There is... read more

Out of School Hours Care
Dear families The many changes due to Covid-19 which happened so quickly at the end of Term 1, meant we really had to work together and I thank families and educators for their patience and support during that time.
