2020 Term 1 Week 6
From the Principal
On the weekend, Father Hosking and I attended our first JACSA Principals and Rectors meeting for the year. The meeting was hosted by St Aloysius’ College at Milson’s Point in Sydney and, whilst it was very enjoyable to catch up again with the leaders of our Jesuit and Companion schools throughout Australia, it was also very useful in its formation session and through the various agenda items... read more

Ignatian Ethos
Lent began with Ash Wednesday last week when we all received the ashes on our forehead. The symbolism of the ashes includes remembering the Passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; reminding us of our mortality; and as a sign of repentance. From the Head of Junior School
Students in Year 6 Gold unpacked the Ignatian virtues at this week’s liturgy, identifying which saints modelled the virtues of our student profile. As with the saints of old, our children already embody these characteristics in varying degrees and, with nurturing over time, it is our hope that they too will make their mark on the world, living in accordance with the values they uphold.
