2019 Term 1 Week 8

2019 Term 1 Week 8
From the Principal

There is usually something happening in our community that I am happy to draw attention to or comment on or, alternatively, an event or activity elsewhere offers us something as food for thought in our context, which I endeavour to share with others. This week, however, I found the exercise quite challenging as my thoughts... read more
From the Rector
Earlier this week, Phil Donato, Head of Senior School; Belinda Mears, Advancement Manager; and I visited two Jesuit schools in Sydney − Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview, and St Aloysius’ College, Kirribilli. Both schools were so welcoming and shared many ideas with us about pastoral care systems, the use of data in tracking student development, staff appraisals, communications and... read more

As we approach the third Sunday in Lent, the students have fully embraced this time as an opportunity to reflect on how they can become better people. The Social Justice leaders have initiated the 40 Days of Kindness project, where each home group has a jar of suggested acts of kindness, and students are encouraged to choose one to perform daily. The possibility of 850 daily acts of kindness over the... read more

It only takes a minute to stay in touch. Click HERE to view Living Lent Daily. We had a wonderful celebration during... read more

Last week a group of five senior leaders travelled to Victor Harbour with the Year 8s to act as mentors and participate in the activities. It was a great opportunity to take the time out of our busy term to get to know and build new friendships with the younger students at our college. It brought back many memories participating in activities that we too completed during our time on Year 8 camp and... read more
