2018 Term 4 Week 5
From the Principal
Our Parents and Friends (P&F) held their AGM on Wednesday evening, and in coming weeks our Old Ignatians Association, Foundation Board, and Fidelis will also have important gatherings. These four groups do much to contribute to the life of our community, and indeed the College in general benefits greatly from their various works. A consistent theme in reflections about the College is that we seek... read more

Last Friday we opened the Art Exhibition. Four Year Twelve artists presented eight practical works. We were also blessed to have fine art and design work from our Year Elevens. All the artworks in this exhibition take us on journeys, but only if we allow ourselves to be so led. Many of the pieces are portraits. Someone said of faces: “They are the most interesting surface on the planet.”... read more
Ignatian Ethos
As usual, we arrive in November and exclaim as one, “Where has the year gone?” It is easy to underestimate all we have achieved in a year. One look at the school calendar and we can see how busy we have been. But unless we stop and reflect on what we have accomplished it will go unnoticed. Often, when one attends professional development, the action that arises from it can be lost once you return to ‘normal’ work life. However, this retreat was different.... read more

From the Head of Junior School
Following the annual Christmas Pageant on Saturday with all of its grand floats, dancers, and music, Year Four have given us reason to rethink and focus on the deeper significance of Christmas. In the children’s dramatisation that unfolded, it was shown that children (and we all!) can unduly carry burdens of distractions, greed, jealousy, and materialism during this season of hope: distractions... read more
