Master of Ceremonies - Tom Rehn

Tom Rehn is one of South Australia’s most recognisable and engaging media personalities, with a distinguished career spanning television, radio, and sports commentary.

An Old Ignatian from Saint Ignatius’ College Adelaide’s Class of 2000, Tom has become a trusted voice in South Australian sport and news. He is best known as the sports presenter for Nine News Adelaide, a regular contributor on FiveAA, and co-host of Hello SA.

Keynote Speaker - Dr Brendan Nelson AO

One of our most highly esteemed Old Ignatians, Dr. Brendan Nelson AO is a member of the Class of 1975. As a driven and discerning teenager, Brendan actively sought out a Catholic education, joining the College in Year 11.

Brendan has led a distinguished career. He is currently the Senior Vice President of The Boeing Company and President of Boeing Global. In his role he oversees global strategy and corporate operations. Before Boeing, he served as Director of the Australian War Memorial and Australian Ambassador to the EU and NATO. A former Australian Minister for Defence and Education, Nelson also served as leader of the Liberal Party from 2007 to 2008.

Brendan began his career in medicine as a physician and former National President of the Australian Medical Association. He holds numerous honorary degrees and accolades, including an Officer of the Order of Australia - Order of Australia (AO) in January 2016 for his services to the community, the parliament of Australia, diplomacy and cultural leadership.

James Kitching (Class of 2002)

James Kitching is a globally recognised leader in the sports industry, currently serving as Managing Director of The FC, a boutique advisory firm specialising in governance, regulation, strategy, and integrity across international sport. Through his work, he advises organisations around the world on shaping fair, transparent, and sustainable sporting systems.

James’ leadership and governance roles include Supervisory Board Member of the FIFA Clearing House, Deputy President of Shooting Australia, and Chair of Basketball South Australia. James also contributes to the global legal framework of sport as an Arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport and as Chair of the Independent Hearing Panel for the Badminton World Federation.

Previously, James served as Director of Football Regulatory at FIFA, where he led major international reforms of the football transfer system, including the creation of the FIFA Clearing House, the introduction of a new global agent framework, and the implementation of the FIFA Football Tribunal.

A respected voice in global sport, James is a sought-after speaker and lecturer, sharing his expertise across conferences, universities, and media worldwide.

Ben Doyle (Class of 1996)

The Honourable Justice Ben Doyle is a distinguished member of the Supreme Court of South Australia, appointed in 2024. Prior to this Ben worked extensively in commercial and civil litigation, criminal appeals and public law, appearing in local courts, as well as Supreme Courts in different jurisdictions, the Federal Court and the High Court. His credentials include a post-graduate degree from the prestigious Oxford University.

A proud Old Ignatian, Ben comes from a family with a significant contribution to the South Australian legal profession. He is the son of John Doyle AC KC, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia and one of the state’s most respected legal figures.

Justice Doyle is known for his intellectual rigour, clarity of thought, and commitment to the rule of law. His career reflects both professional excellence and the values of service, integrity, and leadership.

Olivia Savvas (Class of 2013)

Olivia is the Member for Newland in the South Australian House of Assembly, elected in 2022 at just 25 years of age, becoming the youngest woman ever elected to the South Australian Parliament. Prior to this, she served her community as a Tea Tree Gully Councillor, demonstrating an early commitment to public service and local advocacy.

Her experiences as a student and worker helped shape her priorities in Parliament, including her commitment to standing up for local communities.

Olivia holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of International Studies, and a Diploma of Languages from the University of Adelaide. The grandchild of migrants, she has a strong passion for multiculturalism and is a French speaker, having studied and worked in both France and Canada.

She is also a passionate advocate for bereaved parents, and was honoured to Chair the South Australian Parliament’s Select Committee into Stillbirth in memory of her brother, Benjamin.

Olivia represents a new generation of leadership, grounded in service, compassion, and a deep connection to community.

Gen Casucci (Class of 1986)

Genevieve Casucci is a proud Saint Ignatius' College Old Scholar from the Class of 1986, attending during the early years of the College's transition to co-education, when girls formed just a small cohort of senior students.

Over more than 35 years, Gen has built a career across business, health and entrepreneurship. She is the Founder and Director of Pivotl, a specialist consultancy providing therapeutic business planning to help business owners and leaders reshape their businesses and careers following significant health or life events.

Gen has partnered in several Adelaide businesses, including CIBO Espresso, Cucina Classica, Joe's Kiosk, Eccoci and Eccomi. She also co-founded a practice management software platform now used by allied health providers internationally.

She looks forward to reflecting on her Saint Ignatius experience and sharing how it helped shape the values and mindset that have guided her career.
