Senior School Sports

Oakbank State Championships
On Thursday 6 June 2019 in near perfect conditions, a small group of Ignatius runners took to the challenging Oakbank racecourse. There were a number of runners who had undertaken very solid preparation for this race and it was pleasing that many runners set personal best times and recorded pleasing final places. Montana Spackman (Old Ignatian) and current runners Tom Roberts, Eddie Debenham and Harry Whitford, ensured that all runners undertook excellent warm up routines and this assisted them all to produce high quality runs. Three Ignatius runners earnt the right to represent Torrens River SAPSASA at the race – Tahlia Jolly, Ella Valana and Tom Kavanagh. They all performed very well over the tough course. Well done also to cross country captains Alice Harding and Tom Daw who lead the group well on the day as well as performing strongly in their final run over the Oakbank course. Thanks also to Mr Pertl and Mr Mullins for their continued support of the Cross Country program.
