This is the second week of Lent and the Gospel from Matthew on Sunday told us, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved; he enjoys my favour. Listen to him.’
This raises the question of how do I listen to Jesus today? To help us, St Ignatius of Loyola has shown us ways to listen, especially through finding God in all things and imaginative prayer.
When we slow down and spend time with Jesus through scripture, our imagination, contemplation and prayer we are able to begin to discern God’s will for us.
But the Apostolate of Listening, which it is sometimes referred to in Ignatian Spirituality can be difficult. This short article can help us to begin to practise listening. https://www.ignatianspirituality.com/practice-listening/ by Vinita Hampton Wright
I have also attached a link for an examen below.

I hope you are able to find time during Lent to stop, pray and reflect.
Have a Blessed Lent
