On Monday night the Australian Society for Music Education (ASME) held their annual Young Composers Awards. Year 12 student Binh Le won two awards; an honourable mention for his string ensemble piece “The Four Seasons” and second place for his work “An Evening Stroll,” inspired by the game Animal Crossing. The latter was also chosen to be performed live on the night. Year 11 student Tim Wilson was awarded an honourable mention for his choral arrangement “Promises.” Well done Binh and Tim!
