After extensive planning and preparation, Year 9 students have eagerly embarked on their highly anticipated "Igxperience" 2023. Students were given the opportunity to choose from four distinct Camps, all meticulously crafted in collaboration with our external partner, Active Ed.

In addition to acquiring practical skills such as independent meal preparation using Trangia cookers, proficient tent setup, and mastering skills in kayaking techniques, Mountain Biking, Snorkelling, Fishing & Surfing students are delving into a journey of self-discovery alongside their peers. Through collaborative problem-solving, teamwork, and reflective sessions each night, they're gaining insights into their own personalities and forging deeper connections with their classmates. Each student receives a journal, using it to record their daily learnings, newly formed bonds, challenges conquered, and skills acquired.

The options for the camps are as follows:

Kayaking: Along the Murray River at Swan Reach and the captivating Punyelroo Cave.

Fishing & Surfing: Exploring the waters of the York Peninsula in Marion Bay.

Caving & Snorkelling: Unveiling the wonders of the Limestone Coast in Naracoorte and Mount Gambier.

Mountain Biking: Pedalling through the picturesque landscapes of Melrose.
