On Wednesday September 21st a group of Year 7 Science students visited the Space Discovery Centre on North Terrace to participate in an ‘Eyes on Earth’ simulation. The students worked in groups to simulate the development of a satellite to travel to space and view the Earth. The students used a design model to do this. They were given information about satellites and space in the process. The students were also able to visit the Space Gallery where they completed interactive tasks about space and satellites. This excursion provided a valuable opportunity for our students to see the implementation of physics skills in order to develop useful products in the real world. They also had a lot of fun in the process!
