On Monday of Week 5, Year 10 Geography students attending an excursion to Port Adelaide and Semaphore to develop their geographical skills and knowledge of local environments. The purpose for this excursion relates to their current topic of Marine/Coastal Environments and Human Wellbeing, where students study the importance of these areas while specifically analysing marine, coastal, residential, and industrial areas in Australia. Students collected data, completed sketches, and answered relevant questions relating to this topic, so they can use this information for an upcoming assessment task. Students enjoyed the opportunity to get “hands on” with their learning and develop important geographical skills that they can use in the future.
