As part of the Year 10 Art course, students explore a unit in ceramics. Each student learns to use the pottery wheel, which is messy, but fun, especially if they successfully make a vessel! They also learn hand building skills. This year students are doing a research project on an artist and then making the artist as a clay bust. This year we have seen Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Salvatore Dali, Frida Kahlo, Claude Monet, Bob Ross and Yayoi Kusama all being created.

I encourage students who wish to explore clay further to select Art in Year 10.
