Writing with Charlie Archbold

On Thursday, September 14^th, a group of Year 8 English students met in the library to complete a workshop on writing with Charlie Archbold, a local author. Charlie is the author of several books, one being Mallee Boys, that was set in the Murray Mallee where she lived in her youth. The students heard about the journey to having her work published and then they participated in a number of activities, involving the development of setting and characters. This was followed by some activities on a similar topic led by Ms Sarah Colaiacovo. The students were able to participate in some deep thinking, creating and writing in this amazing workshop led by a talented and experienced author! The ideas and writing that the students displayed indicates that we may have some budding writers in our midst!
