In Week 7, our Year Six students were involved in half day workshops that had a strong focus on wellbeing, empowerment, inclusion and belonging.

Emma Georgiadis and Jack Ellis, from Enlighten Education, ran programs that centred around student wellbeing and in engaging young people with their learning. Themes included reconnecting with their core values and beliefs, stereotypes, respectful relationships, positive self-talk, growth mind-set, conflict resolution and stress management. There was also reinforcement around the importance of gratitude and empathy which aligned itself to the learnings the students have been undertaking in their The Resilience Project lessons.

The manner in which the students embraced the activities was terrific to see and hopefully the workshops have given them many strategies and learnings to assist them in the years to come.
