Last Wednesday, a group of 40 Year 9 students and 6 staff members journeyed to Adelaide North Special School to volunteer at their annual Christmas Party. With approximately 190 students, each with unique special needs, our students and staff engaged in various activities to support the event. Guided by the energetic 'DJ Gue', our students enthusiastically managed the disco, showcased their creativity by spray painting hair, assisted in face painting with Ms. Minucci, operated the bubble machine, and creatively engaged with the students through "tattooing". The school's gratitude for our assistance echoed our deep appreciation for the chance to be of service. One of the staff members from Adelaide North Special School conveyed this sentiment in the following message:

The students were incredible in all areas, manners, supporting where needed, interacting with students, no job to big or small and at the same time having fun themselves to name just a few. Our staff were very impressed with them all. A huge credit to all the teaching staff.

It was wonderful to see your students putting smiles on our students faces and getting them to join in on the different activities.

At one point there was a student in the disco who would never participate in activities actually joining in and having a huge smile on his face and laughing whilst he was doing different moves with some of your students.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the Year 9 students, as well as Mrs. Sheldon, Ms. Minucci, Ms. Gue, Mrs. Mancini, and Ms. Kind for generously donating their time and diverse talents, enriching the experience for everyone involved.
