The College community joined Catholics around the world to pray for peace between Ukraine and Russia. Students gathered at the Senior School and Junior School to pray for those affected by the war. The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference President, Archbishop Mark Coleridge, reminded us that the Feast of the Annunciation, when the Church celebrates Mary’s ‘yes’ to the call of God, is a good day for our prayer of solidarity − a day for the world to say ‘yes’ to the call of peace.

We thank all who have generously contributed to the work of the Jesuits to assist those affected by the war in Ukraine. The appeal provides emergency shelter, food and essential items, medical escorts, translation, and accompaniment to Ukrainian people in desperate need, made possible thanks to a partnership between Jesuit Mission and Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Europe.
