Poet Visit – Kristin Martin

In Week 1, the Year 4, 5 and 6 students had sessions in our auditorium with Adelaide poet, Kristin Martin. She recited her poems and explained about the skills she uses to perform her poetry to an audience, including understanding the message of the poem, using expression, projection, and memorisation.

Inspired by these sessions, we will host an Ignatius Poetry Performance during Week 3 lunch times, open to students from Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6! To enter, students who are interested will choose a published poem to memorise and recite it to an audience and guest judges.

We thank Kristin Martin for visiting our students, teaching us to read different poetry, grow our confidence and inspire an audience.
