The annual Intercol sporting competition aims to forge friendship and camaraderie between Saint Ignatius’ College and Mercedes College. Since the inaugural Intercol round in 2005, the competition has been a highlight of, and wonderful conclusion to, the winter sports season. Senior students from both schools compete for a total of 21 shields across the co-curricular activities of Basketball, Chess, Cross Country, Debating, Football, Hockey, Netball, Soccer and Table Tennis. Middle school students may participate in Intercol style matches for these activities.

The first events being held on Wednesday 17, August, with most matches taking place between Monday 22 and Saturday 27, August. Intercol will proceed until the conclusion of the First XVIII Football game, followed by official presentations. While we are hopeful to facilitate spectators at each event and ask all attendees to comply with any relevant requirements and as necessary, wear face masks.

Mercedes will be hosting Intercol XVIII at various locations as their Gymnasium is being redevelopment.
