Her Tech Path

On Wednesday the Year 9 girls (as well as girls in Years 11 and 12 who study STEM) were fortunate to hear about the exciting careers in technology for women from three leaders in their respective industries when Her Tech Path visited the College. Maria Raymond, founder of @aplo.design (digital design company), Emma Waide, Business Development Manager from Salesforce (customer relationship management platform) and Gabriel Harris, a partner at PwC shared their career journeys with the girls and hopefully inspired them to be able to perceive a career in technology as a viable and achievable pathway, by demystifying these industries. Her Tech Path aims to “celebrate and inspire girls and women in tech, cyber and STEM careers” by providing an outline of the many and varied roles within these industries and by giving their own personal stories of their careers.

For more information on Her Tech Path, including resources for parents and students go to hertechpath.org. We are very grateful that Emma, Maria and Gabriel were so generous with their time to visit us this week, and inspired by their passion and enthusiasm.
