It is Gifted Awareness Week (GAW) this week. GAW was designed by the Australian Association of Gifted and Talented in 2015 to create awareness in the community of our Gifted and Talented students and to celebrate them.

This week at school some of our Challenge Program took part in activities such as the Year 9 Science Enrichment Excursion to UNISA ‘STEM for Humanity’ and some students participated in the Senior Ethics Olympiad on Wednesday.

Parents were invited to enrol in a CESA information night for parents of gifted children and staff were invited to attend CESA workshops about gifted students.

I hope that this week will be a time to celebrate the value of Gifted members of our community and the contributions that they can make to our school and to society.
