The Colour Fun Run was a great success! Thank you to all the families and staff that made it such a wonderful day! The sunshine was a blessing after all the rain in the past few weeks!

Thank you to the organisers of the Colour Run event, especially the committee of Pete, Emma and Nik. There were so many volunteers that worked prior and on the day, from students to parents/grandparents to staff. Thank you all so much! Without everyone’s tireless effort, an event like this wouldn’t happen! Lastly thank you to all the families that supported the event by attending on the day and the awesome efforts in fundraising!

Remember you only have a couple of days to finalise your fundraising accounts and to pick your prizes! We will be ordering them next week and hopefully arriving at the College shortly after. Check your year level Facebook pages and the Ignatian for updates.

There was lots of colour, smiles and energy on Sunday. It was great for families to re-connect over a sausage or a treat from the Parents and Friends cafe! The money raised on the day will go into the Parents and Friends fund to support the College in future projects. One of those is the sensory program that the Parents and Friends initiated ideas for; on how to help students in the Junior School to re-focus to support learning. The teachers and staff have had training on this and a program will be developed with tools to help staff and students in the future. Other examples of support from the Parents and Friends committee is contributing to the funding of the kitchen at the Mary Glowery Center and the sails in the Kiss and Ride area. The fund has also contributed to projects at IEY and the Senior School in the past. The next major development is the Art Centre at the Senior Campus.

The Parents and Friends Committee are passionate about welcoming families to the Ignatian community with our generosity and hospitality. We would love more parents and caregivers to join our dynamic team. Recently we welcomed some lovely new members Han, Maria and Tess. If you would like to attend the Annual General Meeting (or future meetings) and meet our wonderful committee please send an email to

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 22 November 2022 at 6:30pm in the Richard Flynn Theatre Foyer of the Senior School campus. Please come along and hear about the achievements of the Parents & Friends Committee over the last 12 months. There will be an opportunity to chat with the Committee after the AGM over drinks and nibbles. Everyone is welcome!

We are always looking for people to join our committee, so if you have any new ideas and talents, we strongly encourage you to join this vibrant and generous parent group and be part of the action for 2023. Please find the 2023 P&F Committee Nomination Form HERE. Nominations close Friday 18 November, 2022.
