A huge welcome back to a full school week with all students. We hope our parenting community has felt some normality returning.

By now you would have been sent the Parents and Friends Volunteer Form and we would love to have you involved in any capacity.

We are full steam ahead with Fair plans and the event is looking to be a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community. Keep an eye out for all information starting to come out soon.

And in case you have missed the update, The Gala Ball has been cancelled and refunds can be requested through emailing pandf@ignatius.sa.edu.au

Over the coming weeks I would like to introduce you to members of the 2022 Parents and Friends Committee. Profiles of Grace Eliseo and Pete Goodwin appear below.

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead.

What year(s) are your child(ren) in?
Elijah in Year 6. Estelle in Year 2.

What keeps you busy (work, stay at home parent etc)?
Working full time and being involved in various committees including International Women’s Association, Cancer Council Australia and Multicultural Associations in South Australia as well as of course the Saint Ignatius' Parents and Friends Committee.

Why did you choose Saint Ignatius' College as your child’s school?
We wanted our children to grow up with like-minded families who share similar family values and practice the Ignatian ethos in their daily lives. We have made lifelong friends through the community and we look forward to watching our children grow together with their friends.

Why did you join the P&F?
I joined to be a role model for my children to teach them to give back to the community and to teach them to be involved in supporting the school and others.

What do you enjoy about the P&F?
I enjoy meeting new people and connecting with our school families as well as being involved at events and meetings for the benefit of the school community.

What is your favourite P&F activity and why?
If you ask my children, they would say the Family Fun Fair so I’ll support their opinion too. It’s a great event that brings the whole family together and it’s a nice day out with our school families to have fun together, eat and drink all whilst supporting the school and the community.
