Congratulations to all who represented the College at the recent Intercol carnival against Mercedes College. We had a great start to the carnival, which put our teams in a confident position going into Saturday’s final events, enabling us to win the overall shield with satisfaction for our effort and humbleness for the honour. We are grateful to the coaches, volunteers, and staff who organise and support all these events. In particular we thank Mr Panos and Miss Slade from the Sports Office for their leadership of Intercol 2022. We look forward to presenting the 14 shields to Mr Coffey at next week’s assembly.

MMG Education, a consultancy specialising in school research and data, annually conducts exit surveys for our families and Year 12 students as they conclude their time at the College. I ask all Year 12 families and students to complete this survey in the coming weeks. Exit surveys enable us to better understand our performance and help improve our teaching and learning, pastoral wellbeing, and broader formation offerings.

Counselling for subject selection continued this week. Each Year 11 student met with a staff member to discuss their subject choices and plans for their final year in 2023.

And to our dads, happy Father’s Day. Thank you for the remarkable contribution you make to the lives of your children. We hope our students offer their fathers some appropriate expression of gratitude for all that has been and all that is to come. We pray for fathers no longer present on earth but still with us in spirit. We also remember our spiritual fathers such as Father Hosking and Father Tanaya.
