As we plan for next year, it was encouraging to have so many parents and students view the recent SACE subject information evenings. The ability to live-stream the presentation and provide pre-recorded presentations for future reference to families at home has been well received. The students have been attending year level-based subject information assemblies at school. These explain the subject selection process and how to access support. We are most grateful to Mr Peter Rossi, Director of Teaching and Learning, and the curriculum team for their leadership in guiding our students and families through this important stage of their journeys.

As part of the Faith and Service Program, each House attended a presentation in the chapel to launch the Food for FORT campaign led by Regis House. The students watched a video (below) explaining the great work that Foodbank do in providing food relief to the most vulnerable in our community. In the Gospels, Jesus invites us to serve others, to be compassionate and resourceful, and to be a blessing for others. We are called to be his hands and help those most in need in our community. During the coming weeks, students in each House will be collecting cans of food, which will conclude in week 6 with a FORT building competition. Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop reminds us … Never see a need without doing something about it. We are called to action!
