Welcome to Term 3. We hope that families made the most of the midyear break. Our students have started the second half of the year with great enthusiasm. While concerned by the reports of peaks with COVID infections, we are confident that our community will respond well by wearing masks indoors and at our larger gatherings such as assemblies and liturgies.

The Year 12 students had a Day of Reflection this week, which afforded the opportunity to review their life journey so far and to consider what their future may look like. We are most grateful for the work of our Youth Minister, Miss Danika Tremonte, and the House Leaders for coordinating this day for the students.

We are excited to celebrate our College Feast Day on Monday 1 August. The Year 12 students will have activities with the Junior School students in the morning. Year 7 to 11 will join them and the Junior School and IEY for a Mass of celebration in the St Ignatius Parish Church and the Mary Glowrey Centre in the afternoon. We will also have a whole-school photo on the Junior School oval celebrating the Ignatian Year, which was framed by the 500th anniversary of his conversion and 400th anniversary of his canonisation.

The SACE subject information evenings over the next few weeks will provide families with information regarding subject selection. Families will have the ability to watch a live broadcast of this event and ask questions via the chat facility throughout the presentation. Some presentations will be recorded so they can be viewed at your convenience. Students will also attend subject information assemblies at school. Our curriculum leaders will explain the subject selection process and assist in accessing support to make good choices.
