From the Head of Senior School

Congratulations to our Intercol cross-country team who won both shields against Mercedes on Wednesday after school. We look forward to Intercol continuing next week! Good luck to all involved in this annual competition with Mercedes across a number of activities. Our schools are similar in ethos, and this is played in a good spirit.

The subject information for Year 9 into 10 will be presented in the Flynn Theatre and live streamed to families on Tuesday 22 August. The curriculum team continue to guide our students through these next stages of their academic journey.

The Year 12 SACE Drama production of the musical, The Addams Family – Family is Everything, in the Flynn Theatre this week was very entertaining. The 14 students in the Year 12 Drama class presented this musical comedy with great enthusiasm. We are grateful for the work of many staff, especially Drama teacher Mrs Karen Sheldon and the technical team of Mr Allan Turnbull and Mr Warren Bradley.

The Mass of the Assumption was celebrated by Father Pereira on Tuesday 15 August for the whole Senior School in the Dennett Centre. Father Pereira reminded us of the importance of Mary’s special role in the Church and how we are called to follow the example of her wholehearted ‘yes’ to what was asked of her.
