This week we welcomed back students in Years 9, 10, and 11 as they joined their colleagues at school after two weeks of online learning at home. We continue to familiarise ourselves with new routines at the start of a school year, which is always both challenging and exciting, but particularly this term as we adjust to the CoViD requirements.

We are grateful to the House Leaders who rallied their House teams last Friday for some fun activities. The Year 12s impressed in their leadership of the Year 7s and 8s. This was arranged in lieu of the House Swimming Carnival, which we hope will occur later this term.

Unable to have large assemblies or Masses, we had a screened liturgy of the Holy Spirit during House Mentor time. We pray for our students to open their hearts, be aware of the Holy Spirit around them during their everyday lives, and be moved to do good for others.

We value our unique Ignatian community, and so many of our graduates speak about this when they reflect on their school experience. We hope this is a place where our students find and form community and together act in service of those in need.

This week, we commenced training sessions for our summer sports program, and we hope for some good news that competition may begin soon. I help to coach a girls tennis team as we prepare for our Saturday morning rounds.
