As a Jesuit school, we faithfully acknowledge the growth and development of students in various ways throughout the year. However, today the College demonstrates its commitment to excellence as a learning community through the annual Speech Day and Distribution of Prizes. We congratulate all those recipients who were acknowledged for their commitment to learning and accomplishments with their studies.

This day was also particularly moving in celebrating Mr Peter Coffey’s last Speech Day in his role as principal after more than 25 years of service in various roles in the College. Saint Ignatius’ College has certainly grown under his leadership, which exudes inspiration, wisdom, and integrity. Many may be interested to know that the Junior School owes a large debt of thanks for Peter’s insistence and steadfast support in building the Mary Glowrey Centre, which has been a great gift to our Norwood campus. As Father Peter said in his Vale Speech, Peter is an inspiring leader who is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

This Sunday we are very excited to celebrate the Colour Run as one of our major fundraiser events of the year. The weather is set for a glorious day − one of joy, expressed through colour! We look forward to seeing all those registered families attending on the day and thank you for your generosity and support of this event. A special thankyou goes to all the P&F who have helped create this enjoyable day for our community.
