Homepage News/Calendar The Ignatian Newsletter From the Head of Junior School Article information Time 19 Jun 2023 And so concludes a wonderful term of learning and growth for our Ignatian students. Our junior primary and primary assemblies over the past two days have shown how rich the term has been in terms of classroom curricula, co-curricular activities, and other pursuits across the College. We have held a number of parent engagement sessions for our midyear Reception families, and we look forward to them joining us next term. Our sacramental programs were well attended by parents of children undertaking their instruction in First Holy Communion and Confirmation. A great number of parents also managed to enjoy seeing the fruits of the Music Camp in the first week of term where our five ensembles showcased their learning. The Year 3 Strings and Year 5 Woodwind programs provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their growth to parents over the semester in our ‘open rehearsals’. While the winter weather has settled in, it hasn’t dampened the students’ enthusiasm for their engagement in our full range of co-curricular activities. The ‘Dreaming Nights’ across the College were well attended by parents who wished to provide valuable input into the strategic planning for the future of the College. Thank you to all the parents for your continued support and engagement in all these and many other activities, which provide so much opportunity for our children to learn, live, and grow. We wish you all an enjoyable break over the holidays and look forward to seeing all the students back on Tuesday 25 July, the first student day of school.
