Class 4 Red led us through this week’s liturgy of Vocations and the Good Shepherd. The children enjoyed live interviews of several staff on their vocation in life. It may come as no surprise to hear that even at a younger and tender age, one of our teachers wished for a whiteboard for her birthday so she could ‘play teacher’ in her role model playing. Fortuitously, she has followed her calling and is living her vocation to this day.

For Ignatius, finding your vocation is not about finding a good fit in the workplace. Finding our vocation is as much about the difference we can make in the world as it is about our livelihood. True satisfaction comes from developing the unique gifts we have been given to their full potential, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, for the greater glory of God, and from being men and women for others.

We look forward to welcoming all mothers and special friends to our Mother’s Day morning on Monday 15 May. Be sure to drop in for a coffee and, if you are able, stay for our Mother’s Day liturgy from 8.50 am. We hope you have a wonderful celebration of your vocation as a mother this weekend.
