Homepage News/Calendar The Ignatian Newsletter From the Head of Junior School Article information Time 6 Apr 2022 Junior Primary Sports Day Today the Junior School hosted a Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 sports day, on the James Carey Oval. Due to COVID restrictions, the Junior Primary Sports Day changed to a staggered format to enable parents and caregivers the opportunity to attend. Although split across different times, it was wonderful to have such a presence of community, with parents and friends attending the day. Our junior primary children were very keen to demonstrate the Health Hustle they have been learning as part of their Physical Education curriculum. You would have been hard-pressed to find greater enthusiasm anywhere as they cheered for their respective colour Houses! For many of them, this is a unique experience, and it was so wonderful to see how everyone participated with the spirit of joy and collaboration. Thank you to Adele Polyak, Lachlan Bartlett, Rocco Canino, and all the junior primary teachers who helped make this a memorable experience for our children. As you are aware from Peter Coffey’s previous correspondence, next week’s last day for the students is Wednesday 13 April. If your children are requiring supervision for Thursday 14 April, please ensure you contact OSHC at OSHC@ignatius.sa.edu.au by Monday 11 April, so they can plan for the required level of supervision.
