Careers Events at Saint Ignatius’ College

Last week we completed our last university visit with Dr Clara Pribaldi from University of Adelaide talking to the Year 12’s and 11’s about degrees at Adelaide, what to expect at university and how to access your degree. Clara also assisted our Year 12’s with pathway planning into competitive degrees and advised them on how to structure their preferences. Previously we hosted Jon from Flinders and Lauren from UniSA. We are lucky to be so well supported from our local universities.

If your son / daughter did not access this service please be aware you can book a session with each of the individual universities via their future students websites.

Mentor’s Breakfast 2024

This week we launch our annual Mentor’s Breakfast! Students can nominate to attend the event and discuss a range of courses with Old Ignatians who are currently / recently studied this course. I recommend that students research all aspects of their prospective degrees such as what electives can I choose? How difficult is the course of study if I don’t have the assumed knowledge? How can I access alternate pathways? Which uni should I attend? A great way to do so is to chat to someone who has been there, done that!

Bookings are essential! To register for this event please sign up on the sheet on the careers’ room window, choose from the delicious menu and list your courses.

When: Friday 20th October
Time: 7.30-8.30am
