Next week we have an exciting array of events to celebrate National Careers Week. All Senior Mentor Groups will be spending some time exploring Careers Resources and creating a Career Action Plan over the next three weeks. (The Middle Years Mentor Groups will be able to access some exciting activities next term – watch this space for more information on “Become”).

Tuesday 17 May LUNCH Open to ALL year levels, Bellarmine Room
We have the APA Group doing a lunchtime presentation to all year levels in the Bellarmine Room. The APA Group will talk about a wide range of careers spanning from IT, HR, Safety, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, and Trades with a National energy company. Come along and hear from a graduate engineer and an admin trainee about the wide variety of careers in this growing sector! For more info on APA go to

Tuesday 17 May all day in the Library
All workplace Practices classes / VET students and selected students can access a 1:1 appointment with MAS National to assist with career planning and transitioning into apprenticeships / traineeships. By appointment only. MAS National will also be at the Careers Market for other interested students to engage with.

Wednesday 18 May Annual Careers Market Years 10-12, 7pm Dennett Centre
Come along to listen to a huge variety of people talk about their careers and industries! We have a wide range of industries represented including Space, Defence, Engineering, Commerce / Accounting, Law, Medical Careers, Medical Research, Architecture, Education, Policing, Design, Allied Health, Trades, Construction, Australian Defence Forces, Tech Careers, Aviation, Psychology, Vet Bioscience, Marketing and more!

In addition, all three universities will be present as well as RTOs for VET courses.

Friday 20 May LUNCH Open to ALL year levels, Undercroft
Chef Emma McCaskill will present and do a cooking presentation on Careers in Hospitality. Come and find out how you can get a qualification in hospitality, either as a career, or to help gain a part time job! Did you know you can do this and get SACE credits? Find out how at this presentation (and maybe score some lunch!).


The ADF is currently looking for musicians to join its team of highly skilled professionals in the Australian Army Band and are looking to provide information to interested students on how they can turn their studies in to a career in the Australian Defence Force.

To find out more, come along to an Army Band Concert Evening where you will get to see a performance from the Australian Army Band Adelaide followed by a Q&A with the Band members.
