Year 10 Work Experience Program forms due next week!

Students should by now be actively seeking work experience placements. If you are having difficulty, please email myself or your PLP teacher for advice. Unfortunately, the much anticipated (and more user friendly!) form is still not approved by the DfE so we will run with the old forms. ( I know as soon as I write this the new forms will be approved…) I will email the forms to the Year Tens.

Our dates are June 28, 29 and 30.

There are two forms to complete. The WHS Checklist and The Learning Agreement Form. BOTH must be completed and returned to the new work experience email address workexperience@ignatius.sa.edu.au by Monday April 4 (Monday Week 10).

My provider has said yes! What do I do now?

  1. Fill out your details on the Learning Agreement form and send it and the WHS Checklist to the provider
  2. They fill out their sections and SIGN
  3. Your parents fill out their details and SIGN.
  4. You sign
  5. Send the form to me at workexperience@itgnatius.sa.edu.au or print and give to Mrs Carey
  6. We fill in our section, sign it and send a copy to all involved.

The class who has the most forms by April 4 wins a prize!

Students who might need a WWCC should begin this process as soon as possible. Email me for the instructions

Holiday Work Experience

All students in Years 11 and 12 who are planning to do some work experience in the upcoming holidays should also complete both forms, as well as complete the WHS “refresher” found on Career Tools. Go to SEQTA>Careers>Career Tools>Student Secure Area then click on Workplace Safety on the left hand side. Complete the modules, then submit a copy of your certificate with your forms. This is a requirement of the SA Workplace Learning Guidelines. Please also do so by Monday April 4 (Monday Week 10).
