Homepage News/Calendar The Ignatian Newsletter Digi Do STEM Conference Article information Time 6 Dec 2022 On Wednesday, December 7th, the Junior School STIGIT (Saint Ignatius Information Technology) team attended a student-led STEM conference at Scotch College. Our Year 5 team (Christian Iacopetta, Alexander Barona and Jonathan Kassara) ran a workshop on Micro:Bits (microprocessors) and our Year 6 team (Layla Aytona, Alinta Alessandrini, Luke Lafratta and Pranav Anthony) ran a workshop on Sphero chariot racing. Both teams presented with confidence and their workshops were highly engaging. The Year 5 team won a certificate for ‘Most Enthusiastic’ and Year 6 for ‘Most Futuristic Technology. The students also had their choice of workshops to attend on a wide variety of subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality and running a school weekly news program. The experience was invaluable, giving our students the opportunity to hone their presentation skills whilst also engaging in other student workshops.
