Homepage News/Calendar The Ignatian Newsletter Community News Article information Time 16 Aug 2023 Ethan & Gabriele's ASO Debut Congratulations to Ethan Li (C9-2) and Gabriele Natale (C7-1) who were involved in the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s Big Rehearsals project on Monday and Tuesday this week. Big Rehearsals is an inspiring learning opportunity for students to sit side-by-side with ASO musicians and bring to life music designed to challenge and develop their musicality and orchestral playing skills. Ethan had the opportunity to work with ASO Principal Bassoonist Mark Gaydon and Principal Contra-bassoonist Jackie Newcombe while Gabriele had the opportunity to work with Principal Clarinettist Dean Newcombe. This has been a great experience for both boys and which they will continue to develop their playing from. Aaron DohseCoordinator of Co-curricular Arts & Activities Hannah's Taekwondo Wins Year 7 student, Hannah Priest competed in the National Taekwondo Championships in Melbourne over the weekend and performed exceptionally well. Hannah participated in three events: Patterns, Power Test and Special Technique, coming away with two Gold and one Silver medal. Matthew PanosSenior School Sports Coordinator Amelia to represent SA in Football Saint Ignatius’ College would like to acknowledge and congratulate Year 6 student Amelia Kelly for being selected to represent South Australia at the School Sport Australia 12 and under interstate Football championships in Lavington, NSW last week. From all reports, Amelia played an influential role in guiding South Australia to an outstanding Bronze medal as they finished 3rd overall and narrowly missed the Gold medal.
