Homepage News/Calendar The Ignatian Newsletter From the Head of Co-curricular Article information Time 27 Jul 2023 The first week of the holidays was an exciting and highly successful week for our students in a range of significant Co-curricular events. I provide a summary below where you can see photos and read more about the achievements of our students and their excellent performances. In addition to the achievements outlined, we thank the parents and families who hosted billets for our visiting schools and the staff involved in the organisation, coaching, traveling or hosting responsibilities of each event, as named below. Thank you to the students, parents, old scholars and staff who came out to support our teams and provide great atmosphere at the Adelaide events. Jesuit Debating - Runners Up Hosted by St Aloysius' College (SAC), our team debated exceptionally well, particularly given they had not debated together as a team before this carnival. State Hockey Congratulations to students Jemima Davies and Emily Holland who travelled to Hobart in July to participate in the National U18 Hockey Championships. Additionally, Jemima was voted as the captain of the state team which is nice feather in her cap. Well done to both girls who are an integral part of our Hockey Program. These students attended the annual State Music Camp through the holidays. State Music Camp, held at the University of Adelaide, is an opportunity for young musicians from across the state to come together for a week and rehearse new music ready for performance at the end of the week. These students should be very proud of what was a fantastic concert in Elder Hall. Our students were also fortunate enough to be supported by some of our Instrumental Teachers, Will Madden, Greg Perkins and Neal Perkins, who were members of staff at State Music Camp this year.
