Homepage News/Calendar The Ignatian Newsletter Aish-Warhurst Cup Article information Time 11 May 2022 Aish-Warhurst Cup SIC 27.14 (176) defeated Pulteney 1.1 (7) After a 6-year break, our boys proudly represented the school and played a wonderful strong open style of football to convincingly win the Warhurst/Aish Cup against a gallant Pulteney. The scoreboard didn’t truly reflect the contest around the ground, but our boys combined well and played the game in great spirit. Our stoppage work was dominant, led by Ruckman Max Alfred who gave our strong group of midfielders the first look at it. Midfielders then cleaned up with Vice Captain Alex Holt and Captain Max Kelly leading the way. We had five Year 10 boys play their first senior game and each played well. Of that group Max Barilla was outstanding with five goals and Hugo Black shone on a wing. As a group we all look forward to a challenging year against some top-class opposition including Pembroke next week.
