Due to our original opponent forfeiting, the AFLW First VXI played their Indigenous Round in week 7 against St Michaels. The long awaited game saw many highlights, but also solidified some areas for improvement as we continue on our road to Intercol. From the word go, there were many players who were hard at the ball and were not afraid of the contest. As a whole, the intensity (particularly in the second half of the second quarter) was excellent. We thank captain Lucie Bailey for her Acknowledgement of Country prior to the game and for leading the team who were proud to wear their Indigenous guernseys for what was a hard fought game in the spirit of Reconciliation. Congratulations to Annabel Kelly for winning the Reconciliation Round medal.
