Caitlin tells ANZAC story

Year 11 student Caitlin Prentice was able to tell a remarkable ANZAC story as part of a recent school project. Her topic was based on the story of her neighbour's late husband Allen Peterie Fricker who served in World War I. A brave and honourable soldier, Fricker rose to the rank of sargeant in Australian Division Signals Company by wars end. In the line of fire, Fricker was spared his life by a shielding cigarette tin which he happened to be carrying in his breast pocket.
